Flags Set Ablaze In Franklin Township: Police

Police in Franklin Township are investigating after flags were lit on fire on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 7, authorities said.

At 8:23 a.m., officers responded to a property on DeMott Lane and found two custom flags, along with the mounting hardware, damaged by fire, Franklin Township police said in a release. There were no reported injuries as a result of the fire, police said.

The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation by the Franklin Township Office of Fire Prevention and the Franklin Township Police Department Investigative Division, police said.. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact police at 732-873-5533 extension 3154.
